QHY367C PRO is the improved version of QHY367C. We redesigned the CMOS sensor structure and use the Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) to replace the previous PCB. This FPC is very small and it allows us to seal the CMOS sensor manually instead of standard reflow soldering. Besides, QHY367PRO will support the FPGA firmware upgrade via USB function. The internal FPGA code is easier to get update.
QHY367C Pro is a full-frame color cooled CMOS camera with SONY IMX094 sensor. 14bit ADC, zero amplifier glow. QHY367C Pro is one of the top-performing full-frame cameras among COLDMOS Series. The Sony Exmor IMX094 CMOS sensor is also found in the Nikon D800/810 DSLR cameras. This sensor is implemented in the QHY367C Pro specifically for astronomical use with QHYCCD thermal noise reduction technology. With read noise as low as 2.4e-, full well capacity of 56ke-, the camera has a dynamic range of more than 14 stops.
Main Features: TRUE RAW Data In the DSLR implementation, there is a RAW image output, but typically it is not completely RAW. Some evidence of noise reduction and hot pixel removal is still visible on close inspection. This can have a negative effect on the image for astronomy such as the “star eater” effect. However, QHY Cameras offer TRUE RAW IMAGE OUTPUT and produce an image comprised of the original signal only, thereby maintaining the maximum flexibility for post-acquisition astronomical image processing programs and other scientific imaging applications.
Anti-Dew Technology Based on an almost 20-year cooled camera design experience, The QHY cooled camera has implemented the full dew control solutions. The optic window has built-in dew heater and the chamber is protected from internal humidity condensation. An electric heating board for the chamber window can prevent the formation of dew and the sensor itself is kept dry with our silicon gel tube socket design for control of humidity within the sensor chamber.
Cooling In addition to dual-stage TE cooling, QHYCCD implements proprietary technology in hardware to control the dark current noise. As a result, the dark current of the camera is 0.0006e-/p/s at -15C.
