The QHY Tilt Adjustment Ring is designed to perfectly align the camera sensor with the telescope’s optical axis, correcting any tilt that may affect image quality. Its rear adjustment design allows for modifications even after installing a filter wheel, making it convenient for astronomers combining monochromatic cameras with filter wheels
Main Features:
Versatile adjustment points: It features six sets of adjustment points, allowing for three-point (equilateral triangle) or four-point (rectangle) configurations, depending on the user’s specific needs.
Maintaining original back focal length: The adapter’s installation is straightforward and does not alter the camera’s original back focal length, ensuring compatibility with the existing adapter setup.
Compatible Models:
- QHY600PH-SBFL
- Todas las versiones de QHY268M
- QHY268C (versión de corta distancia focal posterior a partir de 2022)
Nota: Although the adapter is theoretically compatible with the QHY533, this model, having a small sensor and being primarily aimed at beginners, is not recommended for use with the adapter.
Installation and Use of the QHY Tilt Adjustment Adapter
Maintaining the Original Back Focal Length
The tilt adjustment adapter is simple to install. Just use a screwdriver to remove the camera’s original front end and replace it with the tilt adjustment adapter. It is important to note that removing the default front end also invalidates the factory focal plane calibration, meaning you will need to calibrate the focal plane yourself.
This adapter is fully compatible with the above-mentioned models. After replacing the original front end, the back focal length will not change, allowing you to keep the original adapter configuration or adjust the adapters according to the standard adapter installation instructions.
