Finder Base – Universal Quick Release Base for Finderscopes
The finder quick release base, or “finder shoe”, is compatible with many standard finder brackets for 6×30 finders, 8×50 finders, and some red dot finders. The base can be used on telescopes that do not themselves have a base, or as an additional base in a different position on the telescope.
The base has the Vixen finder format which is used among others by:
- Skywatcher
- GSO
- Celestron
- Helios
- and many others
Adaptation to the Tube:
- The finder base has two countersunk holes at 21mm spacing. The holes are made for M4 screws.
