SLOT finder Base – Universal Quick Release Base for Finderscopes
The finder quick release base, or “finder shoe”, is compatible with many standard finder brackets for 6×30 finders, 8×50 finders, and some red dot finders. The base can be used on telescopes that do not themselves have a base, or as an additional base in a different position on the telescope.
The base has the Vixen finder format which is used among others by:
- Skywatcher
- GSO
- Celestron
- Helios
- and many others
Adaptation to the Tube:
- The finder base has four 15mm. long slots. The slots hole is made for M4 and M5 screws (*)
- Max. slots distance 35.7mm. approx.
*(In case of M5 cylindrical head screw the head protrudes 1,5mm. from the slot, keep in mind in case your dovetail has a flat base).
